From The Community: Landry Cash

Hello, subscribers and readers!

My name is Landry Cash. I’m currently serving as the Vice President of Talking River Review (TRR). I’m from Lapwai, Idaho, and I’m a creative writing and publishing arts major at Lewis-Clark State.

I have been a proud member of the TRR team since 2024. We’ve come a long way since then—this semester marks one year since I had the honor of becoming Vice President—and I am so grateful for the opportunity to do what I do as an undergraduate. I’ve learned so much about the publishing process in my time working on the journal. I plan to continue until I graduate because I simply cannot imagine my Fridays without TRR.

The highlight of my role as Vice President is getting to correspond with our wonderful contributors! It makes my day to reply to messages, answer questions, and send out our publication contracts. I strive to make the process as seamless as possible from start to finish. I also keep a detailed record of all submissions reviewed by our hardworking team.

I am most excited about our latest issue (59) and the different approach we took to finding our aesthetic. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
